14 goals in four games earns Parlee WWPA Player of the Week
ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University senior driver Chase Parlee has been named the Western Water Polo Association's Player of the Week for his efforts over the weekend at the Claremont Convergence Tournament.
Over the two-day tournament, Parlee scored 14 goals to go
along with nine assists and two steals in leading the Panthers to a
3-1 record with wins over George Washington, Fresno Pacific and
Iona. In Chapman's 11-8 win over Fresno Pacific on Saturday, Parlee
had a game-high five scores. Parlee also had three goals in each of
the other three games that Chapman played.
Since transferring from Pepperdine University this year, the Huntington Beach, Calif. native has had a huge impact for Chapman, leading the team in goals (44), steals (28) and shots (81).Chapman last had a player selected as WWPA Player of the Week in 2009 when current senior utility Stephen Neville earned the honors.
