Panthers have strong showing at Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers
The Chapman University women's track team had another strong showing in its second meet of the season. The Panthers competed at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers meet in Claremont on Saturday.
Chapman put together its fastest time of the season in the 4x100-meter relay event. Sophomores Tori Rose, Anna Duffy, Anne Portwood and freshman Barbara Holladay ran the race in a time of 55.88.
Three Panthers also set personal bests in the 400-meters: Rose, Allen and sophomore Wendy Belanger. Belanger's time was tops on the team recording a 1:08.61 mark.
Also, sophomore long-distance runner Kirsten Moore set a personal record in the 3000-meters with a time of 12:50.77 and senior hurdler Brooke Brisbois set a PR in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:28.73.
